The Last Best Place

Whether or not your wedding or event is a “destination event,” many of your guests will likely be traveling from out of state. And why not? Montana is one of those places that appears on many people’s travel bucket lists.

While your wedding or event will be the main attraction for your guests visiting Montana, they will likely want to take advantage of their time here to enjoy the surrounding area as well. In that regard, the Bozeman area has much to offer. For your out-of-town guests, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport has air service more fitting to a much larger population center, with over nine airlines providing service regionally and nationally to twenty-six major US cities.

Starting with the town itself, amenities within Bozeman are plentiful, but the number and variety of those amenities drop quickly as you get farther from town. The easy drive between the barn and town makes it convenient for your guests to enjoy Bozeman between wedding activities. The Big Yellow Barn is located less than eight miles from both Bozeman and the Bozeman Airport.

Culture

Typical of smaller college towns, Bozeman has far more to do than you might expect given its size. From renowned museums to outdoor concerts and plays, there is always something to do. Not to mention the miles of walking paths within the city limits.

Adventure

The same can be said of the surrounding area. The Gallatin Valley is also an outdoor enthusiast’s dream, with world-renowned fly fishing on many local streams and rivers, as well as hundreds of thousands of acres of public lands to explore only a short drive away from Bozeman. You and your guests might enjoy a peaceful and scenic float down the Madison River or something a little more feisty on the Gallatin. For day trips, Yellowstone National Park is a short ninety miles away. The geothermal activity is not limited to the confines of Yellowstone Park – you might want a soak in one of the area's hot springs!

Of course, this is just a small selection of what Bozeman has to offer and there is so much more to discover. Check out these free resources to help plan an unforgettable weekend for you and your guests:
